I was born and raised in Hudson, Wisconsin, where I learned the values of hard work and community service. After graduating from Hudson High School in 2022, I attended Ripon College for one semester before transferring to the University of Wisconsin-River Falls (UWRF). I graduated in May 2025, earning my Bachelor of Science in Marketing Communications and Communication Studies in only three years. Now, as I am transitioning into my post-grad life, I am starting full-time as the Administrative Assistant and Event Coordinator at the Greater Stillwater Chamber of Commerce.
The summer before starting college, I had the privilege of working at the Hudson Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau, an experience that showed me the powerful role that local businesses play in the economy of the St. Croix Valley and the power of community support. Since working for the Hudson Chamber, I have gone on to volunteer my time at many community events and even opened up my home on the 2024 Hudson Christmas Tour of Homes for 1600 ticketholders to see.
During my first semester at UWRF, I began working as a Community Engagement Intern at Royal Credit Union, a position that I have been grateful to hold for nearly two years. In this role, I have become familiar with chambers of commerce and other community organizations across the St. Croix Valley, learned how to plan many different types of events, honed my social media marketing skills, practiced strategic public relations, and become immersed in the world of credit union advocacy.
As a student at UWRF, I have enjoyed countless opportunities to participate in experiential classes in which I get to create and launch campaigns for real-life clients. Through the marketing communications program, I have gained valuable experience in event planning, social media marketing, branding, public relations, graphic design, and project management. In Fall 2024, I was sworn in as the Public Relations Director of the UWRF Student Government Association, allowing me to improve my leadership and public speaking skills as a campus representative.
Throughout my work experience and education, I have been driven to serve my community and make a positive impact in others’ lives. This is something I will continue to seek, both inside and outside my career.
