OTHER WORK

Throughout my college career, I have had the opportunity to take many classes that provided experiential learning. Below are some examples of standout work throughout my time at UWRF. As part of a Writing for the Mass Media class, I created a public relations campaign for the UWRF Athletics department to promote their new online ticketing model, including a press release, media pitch, and boilerplate.

In an Introduction to Social Media Marketing class, I was assigned a semester-long project to create a social media strategy for a local business of my choosing. I selected The 715, a local boutique in downtown Hudson, and spent the semester examining their current social media tactics and recommending improvements.

During the Sales Promotion and Event Planning class, I had several immersive campaign assignments to complete throughout the semester. Two of these assignments were a promotional packaging redesign and an experiential marketing campaign. For the promotional packaging, I chose to rebrand Yankee Candle, designing a line of candle packaging that could be repurposed into baking dishes when emptied. Each of these candles would be accompanied by a recipe, and the scent would complement the dish. For experiential marketing, I presented a concept for a nationwide community dinner, hosted by Trader Joe’s.
