In fall 2023, I took a Sales Promotion and Event Planning class during which our primary objective was planning and executing a fundraising event on behalf of a nonprofit organization. After spending nearly the entire semester planning, my classmates and I raised over $2,500 for EBeauty Community, an organization that provides wigs to individuals experiencing medical hair loss. I led the public relations efforts for the event, and gained media placement in the Hudson Star-Observer and Eau Claire Leader-Telegram, as well as a spotlight story on the UWRF News page.
